1967年11月25日，美國三藩市樂隊 "The Strawberry Alarm Clock" 充滿 Psychedelic節拍的 "Incense and Peppermints" 登上美國流行榜笫一位。當時正是”Flower Power” 嬉皮士(Hippies) 反越越戰的年代。正如 "Scott McKenzie" 的 "San Francisco" 歌詞所說 :

"If you're going to San Francisco

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair

可惜的是，除了這曲外，不見有其他歌曲令人有深刻印象( "Scott McKenzie" 也是一樣)。這種現象稱之為One-hit wonder。
